Wanderfest main stage performances are designed to help our community find inspiration from the world’s top travelers, energize and move with instructors or emerging musical talent, learn new global skills with community leaders, and so much more.

At Wanderfest, we showcase performances, demonstrations, movement classes, and everything in between. In the past we’ve hosted everything from cooking demonstrations with world-renowned chefs to outdoor yoga classes to invigorating music and dance performances — and more! All performances take place on our outdoor main stage and are scheduled for between 30-60 minutes.

What we are not looking for.

Wanderfest is not a conference or tradeshow. Performances should be fun, informative, or energizing — or a combination of all three. We are not looking for any of the following:

  • Speaking sessions or panel discussions

  • Physical activities that are too advanced — keep in mind that our community is made up of people of many abilities and skill levels.

  • Performances that are not appropriate for people of all ages.

  • Classes that require handouts or notetaking.

  • Sessions promoting your organization or brand (unless you are interested in purchasing a sponsorship).

Presenter benefits.

Complimentary VIP registration to Wanderfest for you and a guest ($598 value).

Single room two-night accommodations in New Orleans or a stipend, in exchange for promotion of the event on your social media accounts. Group performance rates may be negotiated separately.

10 free general admission tickets to give away.

15% discount code to share with your community.

Individualized social media promotion.

Invitation to an exclusive VIP networking event with other performers, community members, and media as well as high-level sponsors.

FAQs.

Who can submit a proposal?

We accept proposals from anyone, but we strongly prefer to take on sessions led by those who can incorporate any kind of global influence into their performance.

What makes a standout proposal?

Keep the Wanderfest community in mind when crafting your proposal, and propose performances that leave attendees with motivation, new knowledge, and/or energy. This is an opportunity for you to educate, inspire, and empower. Think outside the box and let your creativity shine through.

Can I submit multiple proposals?

Yes, go right ahead. Please submit each individual proposal through the appropriate form on this page.

Can I email you to get constructive criticism or suggestions on how to develop/improve my proposal before submitting it?

No, sorry. To get feedback on your proposal, you can post in our Facebook Group. This is where our community lives. We strive to serve their needs, and if we see that they are responding positively to your proposal we will be more likely to accept it.

Can I propose a keynote?

No, sorry. Our keynotes are by invitation only.

Can I email you my proposal?

No, sorry. We need you to fill out the form on this page, even if we know you and even if you’ve performed before.

What happens after I submit a proposal? When will I hear back about my proposal?

Proposals are reviewed by the Wanderfest team and sometimes by outside advisors. You can expect to receive a decision on whether or not your proposal has been accepted by early 2023. We will email you even if your proposal has not been accepted. We do not respond to email inquiries on the status of submitted proposals.

I just found out about Wanderfest and the deadline to submit a proposal has passed/I don’t have enough time to submit one. Can I email it to you?

No, sorry. Try again next year!

I’ve performed at Wanderfest before. Do I have to submit a proposal? Can I present the same thing again?

Yes, you have to submit a proposal even if you’ve performed before. We prefer to offer new and relevant experiences at our events each year. That said, we are open to considering repeat performances on a case by case basis.
