Frequently asked questions.

General FAQs

What’s the difference between General Admission and VIP tickets?

Your general admission ticket gets you full access to event programming on Saturday and Sunday, including all main stage presentations, music, global marketplace, and our Saturday Parade. All main event activities take place outdoors. With the VIP ticket, you’ll get all that and more! Come in early for VIP activities on Friday including a welcome party, custom excursions around town, and access to the VIP tent during main festival programming with express check in. Plus, you’ll get backstage access to meet some of our speakers!

Who should come to Wanderfest? Do I have to be a woman to attend?

Anyone who loves to travel is more than welcome at Wanderfest. You do not have to be a woman to attend, though our programming and all related activities will be focused on women and gender diverse people in travel. Wanderfest is also firmly committed to diversity and inclusion. We aim to make our events inclusive for attendees of all races, nationalities, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, ages, body sizes, and abilities. If you have a suggestion for how we can better accommodate you, we’d genuinely love to hear from you.

Will you have food options available for my dietary restrictions?

We will do our best to bring on vendors that accommodate as many dietary restrictions as possible and will publish a full list of vendors closer to the event date. Please note that any food and beverages on site will be available for purchase at your own expense. These items are not included in your ticket price. We will, however, have free water refill stations available throughout the festival.

How can I get involved with Wanderfest?

There are a few ways you can get involved: purchase a ticket, get your company or brand to be a vendor or sponsor, volunteer with us, or host an excursion.

Do you have press passes available?

We have a limited number of press tickets available for journalists who will be covering Wanderfest in major news publications. Please apply here to inquire about a press ticket. You must be able to show proof of employment at a major news organization in order to qualify for a press ticket.

Excursion FAQs

I chose an excursion, how do I make sure I get a spot?

There is a limited quantity of spots available on each excursion and they are available first-come, first-served. To reserve your spot, simply register at the link provided. Wanderfest excursions are open only to Wanderfest 2022 ticketholders. Due to limited space, we are unable to accommodate non-ticketed friends or family members.

How do I manage my schedule?

You are responsible for organizing your own schedule and ensuring you do not book any overlapping excursions. We have partnered with many local tour operators as well as individual attendees to make these excursions possible, which means the booking websites may vary, so please keep track of your confirmations.

How much does it cost and how do I pay?

Fees for each excursion are listed alongside the description. Some excursions require payment when you arrive, while others require payment in advance. By registering, you agree to pay any required fees upon attending the excursion. If you register and do not show without canceling in advance, you will be charged a $10 no-show fee.

How do I cancel if I need to?

Review your email confirmation for an option to cancel, or reach out to your host directly. Advance notice helps ensure that other attendees have a chance to take your spot and respects the host’s time and effort. No-shows without advance cancellation will be charged a $10 no-show fee.

How do I get in touch with the host?

Your leader/host will reach out to you directly by email prior to the event. Please reach out to wanderfest@sheswanderful.com if you have any questions.

Where does my excursion meet?

Your excursion leader/host will reach out to you directly with further details on your exact meeting location.

I’m a VIP ticket holder, how can I access the VIP spots on excursions?

How can I be a good excursion guest and visitor to New Orleans?

Please show up at least 15 minutes early to your excursion meeting spot and if you absolutely need to cancel, make sure you are providing as much advance notice as possible. We also recommend reviewing The Music & Culture Coalition of New Orlean’s Good Visitor’s Guide to New Orleans prior to your visit.
